We are Urban Polynesia, the first dance group of its kind in New York City...where Polynesian dance meets hip-hop and R&B. With beautiful and charismatic dancers trained and skilled in the mesmerizing, sensual dance styles of Hawaii and Tahiti, we bring traditional Polynesian entertainment with a modern edge. As we are located here in the heart of urban culture (NYC), we’ve tastefully and respectfully combined our love of hip-hop and R&B with our passion for Hula, Tahitian & the Polynesian culture into a truly unique experience. Our mission is to bring these beautiful dance styles to a wider audience by performing to popular music that our audiences can relate to, and therefore, relate to the Polynesian culture.
